About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of Presales Engineers through performance management and professional development.
  • Drive end-to-end strategic solution design for public safety ecosystems, including critical communications and video security.
  • Manage the technical aspects of RFPs, proposal requests, and Proof of Concept trials for State and Local Government markets.
  • Oversee radio coverage design, analysis, and equipment list generation for LMR and ecosystem solutions.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Systems Integration, and Product groups to ensure win strategies align with business unit goals.
  • Provide consultative guidance, technical presentations, and product demonstrations to customers.
  • Manage sales, orders, revenue, and margin goals while driving sole source projects to completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Systems Integration, Solutions Architecture, Public Safety, or Military.
  • OR 8+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Systems Integration, Solutions Architecture, Public Safety, or Military.
  • Strong knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures (e.g., APCO P25, LTE, 802.11).
  • Proficiency in IP networking architecture, protocols, and security.
  • Experience with RF coverage predictions, traffic/capacity modeling, and related toolsets.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex topics to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Motorola’s ecosystem portfolio of products and services.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working within State and Local Government markets.
