Sr Manager, Medical Affairs - Liver

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of strategic data generation and medical programs, including advisory boards, educational programs, and congress symposia.
• Develop the Japan Indication Strategic Plan (ISP) and Medical Plan of Action (POA) for the liver disease area.
• Execute PBC pre-launch activities in collaboration with partner companies.
• Engage in scientific communication with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to provide medical input and address scientific inquiries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, regulatory affairs, and commercial, to support publication planning and launch preparation.
• Ensure all medical activities and stakeholder interactions comply with corporate and healthcare compliance guidance.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Medical Affairs or R&D within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven logical thinking and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluency in both Japanese and English.
• Strong presentation and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, or MD).
• Clinical and research experience specifically in the liver disease area.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in ambiguous situations.
• Strong project management skills.
