Sr. Manager, Mechanical and Flight Systems Engineering

Responsibilities

• Guide development, implementation, and certification of dynamic systems, airframe, flight systems, and interiors components
• Ensure structural integrity of rotors and airframe through analysis and testing
• Manage requirements development, validation, and supplier coordination for avionics, actuation, and landing gear
• Plan and assign project responsibilities across the M&FS organization
• Develop and manage schedules, budgets, work scope, and risk for multiple programs
• Define strategic direction for staffing, technology decisions, and manufacturing processes
• Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams across multiple disciplines
• Establish a culture of quality and safety within the M&FS function

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or equivalent disciplines
• Minimum 10 years experience in fixed- or rotary-wing aircraft concept development, design, and certification
• Minimum 7 years experience with composite design, analysis, and production
• Experience with FAA Part 23/25/27/29 programs
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage complex budgets and schedules
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with aviation industry groups such as CMH17, ASTM F44, or RTCA
• Experience implementing new material and manufacturing techniques for FAA acceptance
• Experience in aerospace development program planning and technology road-mapping
• Experience in multi-site organizational leadership
