Sr. Manager Global Cost Accounting

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 3+ staff in day-to-day accounting operations, including inventory, standard costing, and US GAAP compliance.
• Provide coaching and guidance to team members to foster subject matter expertise and continuous process improvement.
• Partner with Technical Accounting and External Auditors to provide guidance on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Review and validate variance analysis for Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow statements.
• Develop strategic relationships with Finance and Operational leaders to coordinate month-end close activities.
• Partner with Internal Controls to execute Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) certifications and monitor remediation actions.
• Drive process automation and continuous improvement using tools such as AI, UiPath, Anaplan, or Tableau.
• Manage external service vendors by monitoring service level metrics and addressing performance issues.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting (equivalent to a Bachelor's degree with 8 years, Master's with 6 years, or Doctorate with 2 years).
• Minimum of 3 years of direct people management experience or leadership experience directing teams and resources.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proven experience in project management and leading complex initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP, S4 HANA, BW, Hyperion, or EDW applications.
• Experience implementing automation initiatives and managing outsource partner teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and data visualization tools.
