Sr. Manager EHS

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain site EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for site job tasks.
• Analyze EHS data trends to implement effective control strategies.
• Serve as an active member of the Site Leadership Team to identify potential risks and drive continual improvement.
• Partner with the Global Industrial Hygiene team to ensure compliance with toxicology and health hazard requirements.
• Oversee employee engagement initiatives such as Behavior Based Safety and EHS Committees.
• Lead incident investigations to identify root causes and ensure effective, sustainable corrective actions.
• Manage environmental inspections, permit requirements, and data collection.
• Lead site-level EHS customer or regulatory audits and inspections.
• Provide technical EHS expertise and ensure accurate management of Safety Data Sheets and chemical inventories.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an EHS-related field.
• 10+ years of related work experience.
• Advanced EHS certifications, such as CSP or CIH.
• Proven experience as a site EHS Leader.
• Experience in people management and developing others.
• Advanced computer skills and ability to perform complex digital tasks.
• Strong reasoning, problem-solving, and technical report writing skills.
• Ability to travel domestically (5%) and internationally (2%).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in an EHS-related field.
• Experience managing EHS staff across multiple facilities.
• Experience within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
