Sr. Manager, EHS

Responsibilities

• Administer Environmental, Health, Safety, Sustainability, Security, and Industrial Hygiene programs at the Aibonito plant.
• Develop and implement EHS procedures to control organizational risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as the primary company representative when dealing with government agencies regarding environmental and safety matters.
• Direct site compliance with ISO 14001/45001 standards and manage the site EHS Management of Change (MOC) program.
• Oversee security operations, including the supervision of the facility security force and access control systems.
• Manage the EHS annual budget and develop emergency response procedures for natural disasters and other threats.
• Investigate serious injuries and manage accident/incident statistics to recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper disposal of hazardous/non-hazardous waste and compliance with DOT requirements for licensed materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering.
• 7+ years of professional EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong environmental expertise, specifically regarding wastewater, storm water, air, and RCRA programs.
• Knowledge of security management and DHS (Department of Homeland Security) regulations.
• Fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Mandatory training in cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Ability to interpret technical procedures, governmental regulations, and mathematical data.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or PE.
• Explosive license or membership in "CIAPR" of P.R.
