About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute labor, supplies, and equipment requirements to meet financial, safety, productivity, and service targets.
- Manage communication across the supply chain, partnering with Customer Service, Segment Planning, and Human Resources to ensure seamless execution.
- Lead and mentor a management team, overseeing approximately 45-50 hourly roles and 5-10 lead positions.
- Manage dynamic operational circumstances and make sound, independent, data-driven decisions.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels to handle significant seasonal fluctuations in demand.
- Assess distribution processes for application feasibility and utilize real-time analytics to optimize automation and building flows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Logistics or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in progressively responsible logistics roles.
- 7+ years of experience in a relevant project management environment.
- Proven experience with PkMS and SAP.
- Strong background in budgeting and productivity management.
- Experience with Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, or other Operational Excellence methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage through exceptions using data tracking.
- Physical ability to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach, and grasp for varying periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WES/WCS (Warehouse Execution/Control Systems), such as Mathews Nexus.
- Proficiency in SAP EWM.
- Experience with SMS Safety Management Systems.
- Background in new system implementations.
- General knowledge of SCS and PLCs (conveyor and sortation controls).
- Experience with Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., MicroMain) or Labor Management Systems.
