Sr. Manager, Day 2 Operations Lead

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily processing of 'Day 2' transactions, including ACH, check exceptions, returns, adjustments, and settlement.
• Lead and develop an operations team of approximately 30 associates and 3 direct reports in a hybrid/remote-friendly environment.
• Manage transaction and file monitoring across all enterprise payment rails in partnership with product and technology teams.
• Drive process modernization by identifying opportunities for automation, simplification, and system optimization.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation through proactive monitoring, internal controls, and audit remediation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve complex payment issues and drive strategic improvements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• 5+ years of People Management experience.
• 5+ years of experience in ACH, Check, or Day 2 operations payments.
• 3+ years of Process Management experience.
• 3+ years of experience supporting and interacting with internal and external business clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience.
• National Check Professional (NCP) or Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) Certification.
• 6+ years of experience in payments and leading cross-functional teams.
• 2+ years of experience delivering large-scale organizational change initiatives.
• 3+ years of relationship management experience.
