About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily processing of 'Day 2' transactions, including ACH, check exceptions, returns, adjustments, and settlement.
- Lead and develop an operations team of approximately 30 associates and 3 direct reports in a hybrid/remote-friendly environment.
- Manage transaction and file monitoring across all enterprise payment rails in partnership with product and technology teams.
- Drive process modernization by identifying opportunities for automation, simplification, and system optimization.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation through proactive monitoring, internal controls, and audit remediation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve complex payment issues and drive strategic improvements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- 5+ years of People Management experience.
- 5+ years of experience in ACH, Check, or Day 2 operations payments.
- 3+ years of Process Management experience.
- 3+ years of experience supporting and interacting with internal and external business clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience.
- National Check Professional (NCP) or Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) Certification.
- 6+ years of experience in payments and leading cross-functional teams.
- 2+ years of experience delivering large-scale organizational change initiatives.
- 3+ years of relationship management experience.
