Sr Manager, Audit

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the Mexico Internal Audit Plan in alignment with global policies.
• Manage risk assessment, business monitoring, and the execution of internal audit projects from planning to reporting.
• Represent the Internal Audit function with Mexico regulators, including CNBV, Banco de México, and CONDUSEF.
• Advise executive management and governance bodies on local regulatory requirements and compliance.
• Coordinate the reporting of audit progress, findings, and issue tracking to local and global stakeholders.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the internal audit team to foster professional growth.
• Identify emerging risks and recommend process improvements to mitigate financial and operational threats.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in External Audit, Internal Audit, or Compliance within financial services firms regulated in Mexico.
• 8+ years of relevant leadership or management experience.
• Proven track record of working with Mexican regulatory bodies (CNBV, Banco de México, and CONDUSEF).
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• In-depth knowledge of Mexico’s prudential, consumer regulations, and financial crime risk frameworks.
