About the role

Responsibilities

  • Apply machine learning knowledge to extend training or runtime frameworks and optimize model efficiency software tools.
  • Model, architect, and develop machine learning hardware co-designed with software for inference or training solutions.
  • Develop optimized software to enable AI models on hardware, including machine learning kernels, compiler tools, and model efficiency tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and apply machine learning techniques into products and AI solutions.
  • Prototype complex machine learning algorithms, models, or frameworks aligned with product roadmaps.
  • Conduct complex experiments to train and evaluate machine learning models and software independently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Hardware, Software, or Systems Engineering.
  • Proficiency in programming languages suitable for machine learning, such as Python, C, or C++.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Experience in embedded system development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
  • 2+ years of experience with frameworks such as Caffe, Caffe 2, or Keras.
  • Experience in embedded system optimization applied to ML domains like NLP or multi-media.
  • Strong understanding of statistics and probability (e.g., conditional probability, Bayes rule).
  • Experience with low-level interactions between operating systems (Linux, Android, QNX) and hardware.
  • Experience working within a large matrixed organization.
