Sr Machine Learning Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Attract, hire, and inspire a diverse world-class engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
• Enable engineers to grow their careers by providing opportunities and clear, timely feedback
• Lead a team of machine learning engineers to design, implement, and operationalize robust, scalable ML solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the entire development lifecycle
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation
• Communicate project status, progress, and potential risks effectively to stakeholders

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise applications
• 5+ years of experience managing large engineering teams
• Proven ability to build, mentor, and manage high-performing engineering teams
• Experience working and communicating effectively with geographically distributed teams and partners
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to conduct real-time and offline investigations to drive action

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics
• Experience in Recommender Systems, Personalization, Search, Computational Advertising, or Natural Language Processing
• Knowledge of RAG-based Generative AI and transformer architecture
• Experience building data processing pipelines and large-scale ML systems using technologies like Spark, SQL, or Snowflake
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ and experience with highly scalable distributed systems
