Sr Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the ML and agentic platform technical roadmap within SCIP
• Design and operationalize reusable ML/agentic infrastructure components for repeatable deployment
• Define evaluation harnesses, model release gates, and reproducibility standards
• Establish monitoring, rollback, and observability practices for production ML systems
• Implement guardrails and operational controls for safe agentic workflows
• Lead architecture reviews and mentor engineers to elevate ML engineering rigor
• Partner with research stakeholders to translate AI use cases into scalable platform capabilities

Requirements

• BS+8 / MS+6 / PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Data disciplines, or a related field
• Demonstrated production delivery experience in ML or agentic platforms at scale
• Demonstrated literacy in a relevant scientific domain such as biology, chemistry, or therapeutic discovery

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Agentic & ML Platforms with evidence of standard-setting
• Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD at scale
• Proficiency in observability, performance tuning, and security-by-design
• Proven experience in mentoring and cross-team influence
