Sr Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and optimize production-grade Machine Learning and Generative AI applications to transform manufacturing operations.
• Develop complex ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks using PySpark, Scala, and SQL for large-scale data processing.
• Implement GenAI solutions including RAG, embeddings, vector databases, agentic workflows, and LLM orchestration using frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Build and maintain MLOps and LLMOps capabilities, including experiment tracking, model registry, CI/CD, and automated deployment.
• Develop evaluation and observability frameworks to monitor model quality, hallucination rates, drift, and latency.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate manufacturing challenges into scalable, secure AI and data solutions.

Requirements

• 8 to 13 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Databricks, Apache Spark, PySpark, and SQL for large-scale data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in GenAI engineering, including prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, and agentic workflows.
• Proven experience with MLOps tools and practices, such as MLflow, model serving, and lifecycle management.
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments and utilizing DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in regulated industries such as pharma, biotech, or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with industrial data sources like SCADA, MES, ERP, or LIMS.
• Experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, or real-time streaming with Apache Kafka.
• Proficiency in Scala and NoSQL/vector databases.
