Sr. LNG China Trading Analyst

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive bottoms-up models of China’s gas and LNG supply and demand fundamentals.
• Drive global LNG/gas fundamental model development in collaboration with the LNG Analytics team.
• Formulate and propose trade strategies based on fundamental views to drive Trading P&L.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal and external global analytical and trading communities.
• Provide insightful, objective, and accurate commercial analysis regarding China's LNG import predictions, player behaviors, and storage dynamics.
• Produce ad-hoc analysis as requested by Traders and Trading Management.

Requirements

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• Strong understanding of China’s economy, gas and LNG infrastructure, and supply/demand dynamics.
• Proficiency with data modeling tools such as R, Python, or Matlab.
• Excellent analytical, strategic, and statistical capabilities.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.
• Ability to work effectively in a multinational and multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial experience in a short-term LNG trading environment.
• An established wide industry network relating to China's gas and LNG supply and demand.
