Sr Lead Software Engineer - Time and Absence

Responsibilities

• Lead the Oracle HCM workstream for US payroll, defining scope, deliverables, milestones, and inter-platform dependencies
• Translate business requirements into functional designs and configuration workbooks
• Configure and optimize Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll, including elements, balances, costing, and payroll flows
• Oversee the full delivery lifecycle from requirements analysis and solution design to testing, cutover, and release
• Govern changes and releases by assessing the impact of quarterly updates and legislative patches
• Partner with Payroll and HR organizations to align on timelines, success criteria, and change control
• Establish and maintain internal controls, including data privacy, SOX-relevant controls, and audit readiness
• Direct and mentor cross-functional team members, including functional analysts and testers
• Manage third-party vendors and Oracle Support to drive service requests to resolution

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with formal training or certification
• 7+ years of hands-on functional experience with Oracle HCM (Fusion)
• 5+ years of specialization in Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll as a lead or SME
• Deep expertise in US payroll configuration, including elements, balances, costing, and year-end processing
• Strong US payroll domain knowledge regarding federal, state, and local tax withholding, garnishments, and FLSA rules
• Experience with integrations such as HCM Extracts, HDL, OIC, and REST/SOAP
• Proven track record of managing end-to-end delivery lifecycles and quarterly update cycles

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll Implementation certification(s)
• Proficiency with Oracle HCM Cloud tools including Fast Formulas, OTBI, and BI Publisher
• Experience managing US multi-state payroll complexities and locality-specific tax updates
• Experience coordinating testing cycles and managing defect resolution
