Sr. Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable, and market-leading technology products within the Rates technology team.
• Execute creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting to solve complex problems.
• Develop high-quality production code and perform rigorous code reviews and debugging.
• Drive the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve system stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams regarding architectural designs and technical applicability.
• Lead communities of practice to drive awareness of leading-edge technologies across the engineering organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Extensive experience in Object-Oriented Programming, specifically with Python or Java.
• Proficiency in UI/UX technologies including React JS, React TypeScript, and HTML5.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability.
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, testing, or troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
