Sr. Lab Operations Manager - Sterilization

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for the Sterilization department, overseeing Ethylene Oxide (EO) and steam sterilization validation programs
• Manage and mentor a team of approximately 16 employees, including direct reports, to foster a collaborative and accountable culture
• Drive operational efficiency, turnaround time improvements, and production performance
• Provide technical leadership in sterilization validation processes and ensure regulatory compliance with GMP, GLP, and ISO standards
• Partner with Sales, Consulting, and Operations teams to support departmental growth and enhance customer service
• Oversee equipment and facility validation to ensure laboratory resources and workflows are optimized

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in laboratory operations
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or validation-focused operations
• 5+ years of leadership experience within regulated industries
• Strong microbiology knowledge and hands-on laboratory experience
• Proven experience with equipment and facility validation
• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sterilization validation environments
• Specific expertise in Ethylene Oxide (EO) or steam sterilization
• Background in medical device manufacturing or sterility assurance programs
• Experience in manufacturing leadership environments
