About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain critical IT infrastructure to ensure optimum performance and meet departmental KPIs and SLAs.
- Act as a technical escalation point for IT Support Technicians, remote teams, and Operations.
- Manage site-wide IT projects, including the creation, review, and execution of change management requests and project plans.
- Liaise with global SME teams to facilitate the installation and maintenance of networking and server infrastructure.
- Perform site audits on technical infrastructure to ensure adherence to Amazon IT and Health & Safety guidelines.
- Provide direction, mentoring, and training to IT Support Technicians and other engineers.
- Manage vendor relationships, including requesting quotes and purchasing equipment in accordance with budgets and policies.
- Contribute to the on-call schedule for high-severity incidents at the home site and within the region.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
- Proven experience with networking technologies including TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience working with Windows server technologies such as AD, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM.
- Professional experience in technical support within a corporate setting.
- Proficiency in supporting Windows, Mac, and/or Linux operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience supporting a Windows server environment.
- Experience supporting video conferencing and teleconferencing equipment.
