About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and engineering of TIAA's CIAM platform strategy and architecture.
  • Provide hands-on solutions design for Identity Verification, Registration, Access Management, and API Security.
  • Define patterns and build frameworks related to Agentic AI, Application, and API Security.
  • Own Identity Security and Fraud prevention standards, acting as an internal SME for application teams.
  • Drive operational excellence, automation, scalability, and observability for the CIAM platform.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to triage and resolve complex production incidents.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing CIAM solutions in complex, large-scale environments.
  • 5+ years of direct experience with the Ping suite (Ping Federate, Ping Directory, Ping Access).
  • 5+ years of engineering or development experience using Java or Python.
  • Experience implementing identity orchestration tools such as Transmit Security FlexID.
  • Experience in fraud detection and prevention using ThreatMetrix.
  • Strong knowledge of IAM protocols including OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and FIDO2.
  • Proven experience creating architecture designs and strategic roadmaps for security platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in CIAM design and implementation.
  • CIAM-related industry certifications.
  • Experience with fine-grained authorization solutions such as Cedar, OPA, or OpenFGA.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and writing Ansible playbooks.
  • Experience leading Proof-of-Value (POV) and Proof-of-Concept (POC) initiatives.
