About the role
Responsibilities
- Full ownership of the design, build, and maintenance of mechanical or electrical test stands for development, production, and qualification testing
- Automate repetitive aspects of the test stands
- Author, execute, and audit test plans, procedures, and reports
- Work closely with design and flight test engineers to improve flight hardware
- Provide mentorship to peers
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Science, or Software Engineering
- 5+ years of industry experience testing hardware in a regulated industry
- Professional knowledge of ECAD tools (Altium) or MCAD tools (NX)
- Experience with software design and implementation in Python or C/C++
- Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical engineering fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with sensor integration, building test fixtures, and debugging hardware
- Ability to methodically diagnose and solve hardware problems
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace test planning and execution
- Experience working on or around aircraft
- Knowledge of aerospace qualification standards (MIL-STD-810, RTCA DO-160)
- Mastery of test instrumentation and data acquisition system design
- Proficiency in building/fabricating machine parts or cable assemblies
