About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute the historical program, including research, writing, curation, and operations
- Develop high-volume historical content such as articles, brochures, social media posts, podcasts, and website content
- Oversee the Historical Research Center, focusing on artifact storage, curation, and archival management
- Manage museum operations, including developing historical displays, exhibits, and conducting guided tours
- Provide quality assurance and AP Style copy editing for all history program products
- Support inventorying and accountability procedures for historical artifacts and assist in program audits
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in History, Geography, Library Science, Museum Studies, Museum Science, or a related field
- 12+ years of total professional experience
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in history, library science, museum studies, or museum science
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in drafting and editing materials
Preferred Qualifications
- Current or active TS/SCI security clearance or higher
