Sr. Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly financial analysis and performance reporting across OPEX, CAPEX, and G&A
• Support the development of annual budgets, monthly forecast updates, and cash flow projections
• Represent PETRONAS in LNG Canada joint venture forums and working groups
• Review annual financial statements, prepare technical accounting memos, and support quarterly impairment assessments
• Manage internal and external reporting to shareholders and stakeholders, including ad hoc financial analyses
• Support project finance and treasury activities, including funding tracking, hedging strategies, and FX management
• Design, maintain, and reconcile SAP cost structures to support joint venture and corporate reporting
• Oversee operational finance processes such as invoicing, cost recoveries, and payment processing
• Support enterprise risk management, audits, and internal controls compliance

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably within the oil and gas industry
• Practical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency in SAP, PowerBI, and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA professional designation
