Sr. Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, provide on-demand service, and conduct training for industrial packaging equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic functions.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics for repairs, upgrades, and retrofits.
• Utilize intermediate PLC knowledge to troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers.
• Manage scheduled service calls and document daily activities and expenses accurately.
• Coordinate with customers regarding installation procedures and site compatibility.
• Identify upgrade and retrofit opportunities and notify management to assist with proposals.
• Perform daily tasks in strict accordance with all safety regulations and protocols.

Requirements

• High School Degree or Technical/College Degree.
• 4-5 years of transferable technical experience.
• Hands-on experience with Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency with PLC troubleshooting and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to travel daily by auto with frequent overnight stays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of professional courses in electrical, mechanical, or automation fields.
