Sr. Factory Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Verify product and process compliance with contractual, technical, industry, and AS9100 QMS requirements
• Lead cross-functional teams in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations
• Manage the identification, physical control, and disposition of non-conforming materials via Material Review Board (MRB)
• Generate and publish Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metrics
• Develop and maintain inspection and work instructions to ensure technical data package requirements are met
• Interface regularly with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)
• Facilitate daily status meetings with factory management and internal stakeholders to manage production issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• Five years of experience in Quality, Operations, or Engineering
• Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems
• Manufacturing process experience in assembly, inspection, or testing
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions
• U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with quality tools such as Pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, and process mapping
• Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection Requirements
• Experience with AS9145 (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
• Six Sigma or ASQ Certification
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills for working with factory management and hourly employees
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams for process auditing and improvement
