About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to operations for surface facilities within the Permian Basin
- Ensure engineering controls are in place for safe facility operations and regulatory compliance
- Identify causes for facility downtime, flaring, or venting and evaluate remediation plans
- Lead incident investigations and perform regular surveillance of facilities and compression stations
- Manage facility modification projects through the Management of Change (MOC) process
- Execute facility upgrade projects from FEED through to Operations handover
- Develop and maintain critical facility drawings, including P&IDs
- Mentor and guide emerging engineers to foster professional growth
- Develop tools to track and report key facility metrics
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering (or a related field)
- 5-10 years of Oil and Gas engineering experience, specifically in facilities or upstream unconventional
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and executing engineering projects
- Proficiency in Procount and Hysys for modeling design modifications and pressure drops
- Ability to read and redline P&ID drawings
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement
