About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Thin Films, Diffusion, PVD, and CVD equipment
- Own toolset performance, including uptime, reliability, and resolution of recurring issues
- Drive root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions for complex equipment failures
- Partner with engineering and vendor teams to optimize equipment performance
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians
- Execute preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including procedures and maintenance records
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of semiconductor equipment maintenance experience
- Proficiency with AMAT Centura, Endura, or Producer toolsets
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical proficiency
- Ability to work 11.75-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) on an alternating schedule
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a cleanroom environment
- Experience working with hazardous materials, including toxic and inert gases
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Electronics or Mechatronics
- Experience with SVG/Thermco horizontal diffusion furnaces, Aviza Vertical Furnaces, or Novellus Concept One
- Formal technical education or military technical experience
- Training in the handling of hazardous chemicals and gases
