Sr. Engineer/Specialist – Sub-Frame Design

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the design and development of Frame Carrier Assemblies, including suspension sub-frames and rear cradles
• Manage engineering aspects of specified programs to ensure delivery on time, cost, quality, and functionality
• Design and develop frame carriers from pre-concept to serial production with B2P suppliers
• Create project plans for component, system, and vehicle levels
• Own the design release process including PLM entry, change management, and BOM updates
• Develop comprehensive analytical and physical validation plans
• Ensure component integration through interference and dimension checks
• Support vehicle test and build activities by providing technical solutions
• Create technical documentation including GD&T, DFMEA, and DVP

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in automotive projects for chassis structural frames
• Deep knowledge of structural design, validation, and manufacturing
• High proficiency in UGNX and Teamcenter (PLM)
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
• Fluency in English
• Ability to bring concept designs to volume production
• Valid passport for frequent travel or potential 3-year onsite assignment at client locations

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of other chassis systems such as suspension, steering, tires, and knuckles
• Understanding of vehicle manufacturing and assembly processes
• Familiarity with automotive design and development processes
• Understanding of functional safety
• Knowledge of performing kinematics analysis on UG
