About the role
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the multi-year technology vision and roadmap for intelligent edge computing, firmware, and hardware innovation.
- Build, scale, and mentor high-performing teams across embedded systems, edge AI, and hardware development.
- Oversee the architecture and design of next-generation embedded AI pipelines and firmware platforms for real-time safety applications.
- Champion the cloud-to-edge AI transformation, ensuring models are optimized and reliable in constrained environments.
- Ensure engineering programs meet strict performance, safety, and compliance requirements in mobile and vehicle-mounted environments.
- Build strong relationships with hardware vendors, research partners, and strategic technology providers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience in embedded systems, firmware, hardware, or edge AI.
- 3+ years of engineering leadership experience specifically leading firmware engineering teams.
- Proven experience building and scaling multi-disciplinary engineering organizations.
- Expertise with embedded AI ecosystems and accelerators such as HailoRT, TensorRT, OpenVINO, or TFLite.
- Strong technical background in C/C++, Python, Yocto, and cross-compilation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with hardware design and video/image processing pipelines (GStreamer, OpenCV, FFmpeg).
- Exceptional communication skills and executive presence to influence global stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
