Sr. Engineer Software (Mendix Developer)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement low-level technical solutions using the Mendix platform based on functional and technical design documents.
• Work closely with architects, subject matter experts, and product owners to develop appropriate technical solutions.
• Estimate development effort for specific functionalities and automate user case testing where required.
• Apply system architecture skills to ensure the performance and stability of core systems.
• Document solutions and support the definition of tests for each sprint.
• Support and mentor junior developers and testers throughout the development process.
• Define and implement best practices to optimize development and testing efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant technical field.
• At least 5 years of software development experience.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience with the Mendix platform.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data models.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies and using project management tools like Jira or Rally.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages such as Italian, Spanish, French, or German are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced level certification in a low-code platform.
• Knowledge of server-side programming languages and JavaScript.
• Experience developing service tools for industries such as Utilities, Telecom, or Retail.
