Sr. Engineer, Power Electronics Test & Validation

Responsibilities

• Review electrical and mechanical schematics and create test cell layouts for instrumentation, low voltage, and high voltage circuitry
• Conduct verification and validation tests for power electronics systems to ensure compliance with industry requirements
• Design and set up test benches, including jigs, fixtures, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting and testing of power electronics systems using lab equipment such as battery simulators, power supplies, E-loads, and scopes
• Analyze root causes of power electronics system issues and drive R&D activities independently
• Provide strong technical writing and communication to convey complex concepts clearly

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in power electronics development and testing
• Solid understanding of power electronics fundamentals
• Proven hands-on experience with hardware test and validation
• Proficiency with lab equipment including force gauges, thermocouples, power supplies, multimeters, and hi-pot testers
• Knowledge of automotive and industrial environmental reliability standards such as GMW, ISO, or IEC
