Sr Engineer, Hardware Quality

Responsibilities

• Lead validation and testing activities for software embedded, hardware, and mechanical systems during development and product sustainment.
• Develop comprehensive validation strategies, including test plans, risk-based coverage, and verification matrices.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause investigations for product issues identified during testing or field operation.
• Design and implement complex test setups, including hardware fixtures, simulation environments, and automation frameworks.
• Author and review test procedures, validation plans, and regulatory test documentation.
• Collaborate with R&D, Systems Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure product readiness and proper validation coverage.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians in testing methodologies and troubleshooting techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering experience in product validation, testing, or quality engineering.
• Proven experience leading complex validation activities for multidisciplinary hardware systems.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD, PDM, and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of UL hazardous area zoning requirements for fuel dispensers and other regulatory standards.
• Strong experience in hardware validation, product reliability testing, and root cause analysis.
• Experience working within structured product development processes (NPD / stage-gate environments).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a global engineering environment.
• Experience as a field service technician or production repair/test engineer.
• Practical experience with fluid handling systems and various manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal, machining).
