Sr. Engineer Firmware

Responsibilities

• Design, specify, and implement high-quality C/C++ firmware for embedded control systems in real-time environments.
• Develop and deploy embedded control algorithms for innovative products using microcontrollers.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to align firmware implementations with system requirements and hardware schematics.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and high-quality standards.
• Support sustaining activities, including the diagnosis and resolution of defects for existing products.
• Work with global firmware teams to implement and deploy products on a global scale.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or a related Engineering field.
• 8+ years of professional engineering experience in designing and analyzing embedded control system firmware.
• Strong expertise in embedded coding, code review, debugging, testing, and deployment.
• Proven experience designing and implementing power electronics control algorithms.
• Deep knowledge of TI C2000 series microcontrollers (e.g., TMS320F28x).
• Proficiency in model-based development using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Experience with GIT or similar source control management tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with UPS control firmware, including battery management and power converter control.
• Experience with Typhoon Hardware in Loop (HIL) testing.
