Sr. Engineer Firmware Engineering XII

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for UPS products using C/C++.
• Implement digital control algorithms for power conversion systems, including inverters, rectifiers, PFC, and battery management.
• Develop firmware for DSP or microcontroller-based platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware and power electronics teams to optimize control strategies.
• Support system integration, debugging, and validation using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Optimize firmware for performance, efficiency, and reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and test reports.
• Participate in product design reviews and root cause analysis for field issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or a related Engineering field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in embedded firmware design and development.
• In-depth expertise in C and C++ programming.
• Hands-on experience with DSPs or microcontrollers such as TI C2000, Microchip, or STM32.
• Strong understanding of digital control theory, signal processing, and power electronics.
• Experience with PWM control, ADC sampling, interrupts, and real-time control systems.
• Proficiency with RTOS such as FreeRTOS or TI RTOS.
• Experience with communication protocols including CAN, MODBUS, I2C, SPI, and UART.
• Proficiency with source control management tools like Git.
• Ability to read and interpret datasheets and electrical schematics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 32-bit ARM Cortex architecture.
• Background in Battery and Power Management sub-systems, Safety, or Thermal management.
• Prior experience specifically in UPS firmware design and development.
