Sr. Engineer, ARI Engineering Projects

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support for commercial biologics manufacturing, focusing on upstream and downstream process systems and equipment.
• Serve as a technical lead for equipment design, process design, operational readiness, and capital project execution.
• Lead troubleshooting and technical investigations related to process equipment, automation interactions, and operational performance.
• Support the design, construction, commissioning, and qualification (C&Q) of new manufacturing equipment and facility modifications.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables including P&IDs, equipment specifications, and FAT/SAT protocols.
• Implement engineering-based improvements to optimize equipment reliability, throughput, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Process Development, Quality, and Automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Engineering experience
• Master's degree and 2 years of Engineering experience
• Doctorate degree
• Associate's degree and 8 years of Engineering experience
• High school diploma and 10 years of Engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Bioprocess Engineering
• Experience supporting GMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations
• Direct knowledge of bioreactors, centrifuges, chromatography systems, UFDF skids, and single-use technologies
• Experience with Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) and capital project execution
• Knowledge of GMP quality systems including change controls, deviations, and CAPAs
• Experience with DeltaV or other process automation systems
