Sr. Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage high-impact, complex sustaining and transfer projects to reduce risk and improve profitability
• Drive innovative product development and generate concepts for feature development to improve quality and reduce cost
• Act as a technical lead in taking product development through manufacturing release
• Perform component selection, de-rating analysis, and ensure proper documentation for developed designs
• Create test plans and setups to test proto parts and integrate modules/sub-systems
• Conduct concept and feasibility studies to propose design optimizations
• Communicate with suppliers regarding design transfers and query resolution
• Ensure design modules meet product certification and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• BE/BTech/ME/Mtech in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
• 4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience
• Proficiency in electrical design simulation tools such as LTSpice, PSpice, or equivalent
• Strong ability to read electrical drawings and generate Bills of Materials (BOM)
• Experience with component selection for connector housings, crimps, and cables
• Understanding of system and sub-system inter-connections and interfaces
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to international medical quality and regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, FDA, UL, CE, CSA, BIS)
• Experience in medical device product design (e.g., X-Ray, MR, CT, Mammography systems)
• Knowledge of peripheral and long-distance communications such as RS232, RS485, CAN, Ethernet, and USB
• Knowledge of UL and flammability requirements for components
