About the role
Responsibilities
- Support equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and system upgrades
- Lead electrical and controls activities for new and modified equipment
- Troubleshoot automation and process equipment on the manufacturing floor
- Work with integrators, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to complete projects
- Review and update electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Support control system setup, including I/O, sequence logic, and recovery functions
- Modify control software and improve electrical designs for performance and reliability
- Coordinate materials needed for equipment builds and modifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience with control systems for process or automation equipment
- Manufacturing experience working with automated equipment
- Knowledge of power systems up to 480 VAC
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills with equipment, tools, and test instruments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team environment
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and results
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience with PLC and PC-based control systems
- Familiarity with Beckhoff, B&R, or Allen-Bradley platforms
- PLC programming and SCADA/HMI experience
- Knowledge of PID control and electro-mechanical systems
- Project management experience
- Experience in fiber optic or advanced manufacturing environments
