Sr. Electrical Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and system upgrades
• Lead electrical and controls activities for new and modified equipment
• Troubleshoot automation and process equipment on the manufacturing floor
• Work with integrators, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to complete projects
• Review and update electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Support control system setup, including I/O, sequence logic, and recovery functions
• Modify control software and improve electrical designs for performance and reliability
• Coordinate materials needed for equipment builds and modifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience with control systems for process or automation equipment
• Manufacturing experience working with automated equipment
• Knowledge of power systems up to 480 VAC
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills with equipment, tools, and test instruments
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team environment
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and results

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical
• Experience with PLC and PC-based control systems
• Familiarity with Beckhoff, B&R, or Allen-Bradley platforms
• PLC programming and SCADA/HMI experience
• Knowledge of PID control and electro-mechanical systems
• Project management experience
• Experience in fiber optic or advanced manufacturing environments
