About the role
Responsibilities
- Research facility equipment specifications and performance requirements to define designs compatible with existing manufacturing methods
- Evaluate the feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering cost, space, and technical factors
- Provide technical information regarding manufacturing techniques and material properties to support long-range plant engineering planning
- Establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment through data research and compilation
- Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design (CAE/CAD) software to perform complex engineering tasks
- Guide projects and project teams through implementation and execution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent professional experience and training
- 4-6 years of related experience in facilities or electrical automation engineering
- Subject matter expertise in areas such as clean rooms, RO/DI water systems, vacuum systems, or compressed gas distribution
- Experience in cGMP industry manufacturing plant construction, preferably within Medical Devices or Pharma
- Experience with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Process) discipline construction activities
- Proficiency in Fault/Root Cause Analysis and Review (FRACAS)
- Strong knowledge of utilities including steam, cooling media, heating media, water systems, and compressed air
