About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and sustain EHS programs in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, MassDEP, and local regulations regarding hazard communication, LOTO, and industrial hygiene
- Support FDA and ISO-related audits, including ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive actions
- Manage environmental programs including hazardous waste, air emissions, and chemical management
- Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and ergonomic evaluations
- Deliver EHS training to new hires and existing employees across the campus
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and R&D to mitigate EHS risks and support management of change processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field
- 5-8+ years of progressive EHS experience, preferably in medical device, pharma, or biotech
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance
- Experience supporting audits and inspections (OSHA, MassDEP, EPA, FDA, or ISO)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cleanroom, lab, or GMP manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with Massachusetts-specific environmental and safety regulations
- Experience implementing or supporting ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 systems
