Sr. Director Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee the research, design, development, simulation, and validation of systems-level software, hardware, architecture, and algorithms.
• Lead multiple teams in the analysis and development of system-level design, including requirements, interface definition, and functional performance.
• Create overarching system strategies to direct work for multiple project teams and translate them into actionable execution plans.
• Collaborate with internal and external high-level representatives to develop and execute complex system designs.
• Define and align standards for hardware and software requirements and specifications.
• Develop and implement standards for system-level problem triage and present debugging results to stakeholders.
• Supervise other managers and oversee budgets, schedules, and performance standards for multiple departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 10+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
• Master's degree in a related field with 9+ years of relevant experience.
• PhD in a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Deep expertise in systems-level software and hardware.
• Strong experience with 4G, 5G, and 6G cellular standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
• 15+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
• Extensive experience with 4G/5G/6G systems and associated cellular standards (e.g., 3GPP NR, LTE).
• 4+ years of experience working within a large matrixed organization.
• 4+ years of supervisory experience.
• 3+ years of experience interacting with executive leadership (VP level and above).
• 2+ years of experience managing operating budgets or project financials.
