Sr. Director, Risk Management

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage comprehensive insurance programs including fiduciary, D&O, cyber, professional liability, property, and workers' compensation.
• Analyze and classify organizational risks by frequency and potential severity to determine financial impact.
• Advise stakeholders on risk management issues related to coverage areas and unique risks such as natural disasters or special events.
• Implement programs and policies to minimize post-loss costs, including medical care management and risk reduction partnerships.
• Lead insurance negotiations, broker selection, and carrier placement to ensure timely and consistent coverage.
• Oversee policy renewals, claims management, budget planning, and risk minimization programs.
• Identify opportunities for subrogation claims and explore new insurance vehicles such as captives.
• Ensure business continuity and organizational resiliency during unexpected disruptions or crises.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Human Resources, Law, or a related field.
• 12+ years of professional experience in risk management or insurance.
• 7+ years of experience in people management.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's) in a relevant field.
• Relevant professional risk management certifications.
