Sr. Director, Research and Development Quality Assurance

Responsibilities

• Lead the Franchise Research & Development Quality Assurance organization, translating executive vision into actionable strategic plans.
• Serve as the Person Responsible for Regulatory Compliance (PRRC) to ensure adherence to global standards.
• Ensure full compliance with European Union Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR) 2017/745 and other international regulatory requirements.
• Oversee quality assurance strategies, driving continuous improvement and managing departmental budgets and major projects.
• Direct R&D personnel to ensure all activities within product development comply with Good Practice regulations and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Identify and implement key quality indicators and maintain up-to-date R&D policies, procedures, and systems.
• Foster a culture of excellence through performance management, talent development, and a strong commitment to safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 10 years of relevant experience (or M.S. + 7 years, or PhD + 6 years).
• 8 years of demonstrated leadership experience.
• In-depth knowledge of EU MDR 2017/745 and Medical Device Coordination Group 2019-07 requirements.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and communication).
• Ability to work onsite in Johns Creek, GA.
