Sr. Director Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multi-functional team of up to 350 employees in a composite manufacturing environment
• Provide strategic direction and oversight to production activities to ensure safety, quality, and production growth
• Implement and improve routines and standards according to the Airbus Operating System using data analysis
• Analyze Cost of Non Quality (CNQ) data to identify root causes and eliminate defects in the manufacturing process
• Manage departmental budgets and costs in accordance with Annual Operating Plan objectives
• Drive transformation and continuous improvement initiatives to support performance and productivity
• Ensure fulfillment of all legal, airworthiness, and Environmental Health & Safety requirements
• Develop resource forecast requirements and manage critical path items to prevent production bottlenecks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Quality Management, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation operations
• At least 5 years of experience leading teams in a composite production or manufacturing environment
• Proven leadership experience in Continuous Improvement within the aviation industry
• Proficiency in SAP and Google Workplace
• Fluency in written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in French, German, or Spanish
• Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Methodologies
