Sr. Director, AI Finance & Legal Transformation

Responsibilities

• Own the AI transformation roadmap across finance and legal functions
• Sequence and prioritize AI initiatives to drive them to completion
• Build and lead a team of AI Fellows embedded in finance and legal teams
• Accelerate forecast automation and AI adoption in audit and controls
• Automate accounting processes including data entry and reconciliation
• Drive AI-powered contract review, IP management, and regulatory compliance
• Build legal intelligence and knowledge retrieval systems
• Evaluate legal tech landscape and make build-vs-buy decisions
• Translate AI capabilities into practical solutions for professionals
• Establish success metrics and report outcomes to executive leadership

Requirements

• 10+ years in AI/ML, finance transformation, legal operations, or technology-driven change management
• Strong technical fluency in AI/ML and enterprise LLM platforms (Claude, ChatGPT)
• Deep understanding of enterprise finance operations (FP&A, accounting, audit, ERP)
• Working knowledge of corporate legal operations (contract lifecycle, IP, compliance)
• Proven track record leading large-scale transformation in complex environments
• Experience productionalizing AI prototypes into enterprise-grade tools
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
• Ability to work on-site in Needham, MA, New York, or Miami

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying AI across finance or legal at scale
• Familiarity with SOX compliance, material weakness remediation, or CLM platforms
• Background in Legal Engineering or Forward Deployed Engineering
