Sr. Digital Design Engineer, Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the digital design team in Edinburgh, taking ownership of project schedules and coordinating tasks across RTL, Verification, DFT, and Synthesis.
• Define the digital architectural roadmap for motor drivers to ensure alignment with global product lines.
• Act as the primary digital technical point of contact for the Edinburgh center, interfacing with Marketing, Systems, and Analog Design teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative, high-performance environment.
• Manage technical risks and resource gaps to ensure on-time delivery of tapeout-ready designs.
• Partner with verification teams to ensure functional coverage and oversee ISO 26262 functional safety compliance.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience leading small-to-medium sized design teams.
• 8+ years of experience in digital design or architecture, including complex algorithmic IP or full SoC designs.
• Proven expertise with SoC architectures and interconnect fabrics such as AMBA/AXI.
• PhD or Master’s degree in Electronics or a related field.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical roadmaps.

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise with Cadence toolsets for the entire front-end design flow.
• Direct experience leading ISO 26262 compliant designs (ASIL B/D).
