Sr Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop array waveforms with detailed timing and biasing conditions, utilizing in-depth knowledge of NAND Flash memory read, program, and erase algorithms.
• Collaborate with Firmware, Analog, and Design Validation teams to implement waveforms.
• Plan wordline and bitline path architecture based on area, performance, and power specifications.
• Perform die size cost and benefit analysis for new array circuits and algorithms.
• Generate Xpath, Ypath, and Array schematics and run block-level, subsystem, and full-chip simulations using spice simulators.
• Develop and support Python AI utilities to accelerate EDA tasks, including environment setup, regression runs, and automated documentation.
• Partner with Product Engineering, Test, and Process Integration teams to optimize manufacturing, quality, and reliability.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience (MS/PhD preferred).
• 2+ years of relevant NAND design industry experience.
• Strong fundamentals in semiconductor device physics and analog/mixed-signal circuit design.
• Understanding of semiconductor reliability issues (CHC, NBTI, stress, snapback) and Electromigration (EM)/IR analysis.
• Experience in circuit verification, optimization, layout planning, and parasitic extractions.
• Strong coding skills in Python and comfort working with structured data (CSV/JSON/SQLite) and version control.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of analog and digital simulators such as HSPICE, Fast SPICE, and Verilog.
• Familiarity with Cadence design tools and LVS/DRC tools.
• Experience with Bash or Tcl scripting.
• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX environments.
