Sr. Customer & Application Development Engineer - Pultruded Composites

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for customers producing fiber reinforced composites using injection-die pultrusion
• Assist customers in optimizing and troubleshooting processes to run Proxxima™ resins
• Lead application development projects utilizing pultrusion equipment at the Baytown facilities
• Personally operate pultrusion equipment to produce samples for projects and customer sampling
• Provide technical and market insights to guide new application developments and business strategy
• Develop novel technology to strengthen the intellectual property portfolio
• Author technical reports, publications, promotional brochures, and technical data sheets
• Train and mentor less experienced colleagues

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience operating or supervising the manufacturing of thermoset parts using pultrusion, including injection die processing
• B.S. or higher in Engineering, Material Science, or an equivalent field
• Hands-on ability to set up and operate pultrusion lines without technician support
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficiency in computer use with excellent administrative and organizational skills
• Self-motivated team player
