Sr. Costing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Follow costing processes and timelines to ensure accurate and timely cost submissions from T1 suppliers.
• Review Cost Breakdowns (CBD) for New Product Introduction (NPI) styles to suggest cost reductions during the development stage.
• Negotiate pricing with T1 and T2 suppliers to meet established margin objectives.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through commodity price tracking and labor wage data collection.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on innovation, R&D, and cost reduction projects.
• Maintain accurate supplier quotes and material content data within Centric.
• Manage and update costing reports, including price confirmation trackers and material databases.
• Verify price accuracy regarding VA reports, E&O material reports, and SAP discrepancies.

Requirements

• College degree or above.
• 6+ years of footwear industry costing experience.
• Fluent English in both written and oral communication.
• Strong price negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced expertise in Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team-player mentality.
