Sr. Cost Accountant

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of inventory and COGS accounting transactions
• Manage all aspects of standard cost rolls, including component updates, overhead rates, and bill of materials review
• Perform month-end accounting close and reporting related to inventory and balance sheet reconciliations
• Analyze spending, absorption, purchase price variance, and production variances for monthly scorecards
• Develop and monitor the cycle count program and investigate root causes for adjustments
• Act as a financial thought partner to manufacturing and operations leaders
• Maintain inventory and COGS data within NetSuite
• Implement improvements in inventory control and costing processes to enhance efficiency and internal controls
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and maintain a strong SOX internal control environment

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing or biotechnology
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience
• Solid knowledge of GAAP related to inventory and COGS
• Experience with enterprise financial systems (NetSuite preferred)
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and in teams
