Sr. Consumer Auto Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, negotiate, and decision consumer auto finance offerings within underwriting policies to grow application and contract volume
• Increase dealer portfolio revenue by practicing sound underwriting judgment and upholding risk management principles
• Build and maintain strong, high-touch relationships with dealers within assigned territories
• Leverage high-tech and high-touch capabilities to negotiate contracts and manage dealer portfolios
• Demonstrate market awareness and adaptability to provide best-in-class relationship management

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
• 1+ years of auto finance consumer underwriting experience (prime, sub-prime, or non-prime) for Underwriter level
• 3+ years of auto finance underwriting experience for Senior Underwriter level
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening hours, weekends, and limited travel
• Must reside in one of the following states: AZ, AR, CA, CO, KS, NV, OK, TX, or WA

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of auto finance underwriting experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• Proven experience in project management and contributing to strategic business results
