Sr. Commodity Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute vendor and commodity management strategies to drive cost optimization, supply continuity, and quality.
• Manage the full vendor lifecycle, including sourcing, onboarding, performance management, and risk mitigation.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, statements of work (SOWs), and service-level agreements (SLAs) to secure favorable outcomes.
• Monitor vendor performance through KPIs, scorecards, and regular business reviews.
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Legal, Finance, Engineering, and IT to align vendor strategies with organizational objectives.
• Identify and mitigate supplier risks related to cost, compliance, cybersecurity, and business continuity.
• Lead vendor governance initiatives and manage escalation paths when deliverables do not meet expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in vendor management, professional services management, sourcing, or procurement.
• Proven expertise in negotiating complex contracts, service agreements, and pricing structures.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in procurement, ERP, and vendor management tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CPSM, or CSCP.
• Experience supporting global suppliers or international vendor relationships.
• Background in technology, SaaS, telecommunications, or managed services environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
